Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo2004 Movie is based on army officers by Major General Amarjeet Singh. This is most likely based on Operation Cactus in Kashmir in 1983. Vikramjeet Singh (Bobby Deol) is a sub-inspector in the army. Amarjeet (Amitabh Bachchan) is his commanding officer, he is also the big brother to Vikramjeet and is expected to shoulder the responsibility of Amarjeet’s daughter, Sujata (Juhi Chawla). Vikramjeet is very instrumental for Amarjeet’s promotion, as he gains Amarjeets support for his re-appointment. Vikramjeet is a very honor-bound person. Vikramjeet’s younger brother Sardar Shamsher Singh (Bobby Deol) was very shocked to see Vikramjeet’s army uniform and pick up a knife to stab Vikramjeet. Vikramjeet realized that he was being watched and shot Shamsher. When Amarjeet found out, he gave Vikramjeet one last chance to avoid a firing squad. Vikramjeet commits suicide and that’s why Amarjeet is the only family member left. Amarjeet’s best friend Captain Rajeev (Akshay Kumar) is a career army officer and is against going back on his marriage to Shweta (Divya Khosla). Amarjeet eventually convinces Rajeev to get the rings exchanged. Amarjeet’s wife (Nishi Talyarkhan) and daughter, Sujata (Juhi Chawla) are both displeased with Vikramjeet because of the way he handled the situation. Amarjeet chooses to stay with Shweta, even though he still loves Shweta, Amarjeet now has a very broken heart because of Rajeev’s betrayal. Amarjeet plans to seek revenge from Rajeev, even though Shweta wants Amarjeet to forgive Rajeev. Amarjeet decides to undergo training as a commando because his enemy Rajeev will be able to help him take revenge. Shweta refuses to forgive Rajeev, and requests him to stay away. The movie ends with Amarjeet being discharged from the army. Vikramjeet left is still haunted by the memory of his brother’s funeral and the fateful meeting with Amarjeet. It is a story of internal betrayals between brothers.
