Here’s a step-by-step to learn the basics of editing photos, from adjusting brightness and contrast to duplicating layers to smudge and paint effects.

1. Tutorial: Brightness and Contrast Adjustments
Learning objective: Making adjustments to brightness and contrast to enhance a photo.
1. Open an image to edit in Photoshop.
2. Make sure the image is set to the default setting to apply all changes.
3. With an image that has too much or too little brightness or contrast, add the Layers window to the workspace as seen on the left.
4. To adjust the brightness or contrast, click the Exposure icon in the Adjustments panel.
5. A gradient dial opens at the bottom of the screen. Move it to the right or left to change the brightness or contrast of the photo.
6. To change the brightness of the photo from Light to Dark, click the Light button.
To change the photo from Dark to Light, click the Dark button.
7. To change the contrast from Vivid to Soft, click the contrast button.
To change the contrast from Soft to Vivid, click the contrast button.
8. The star-like icon indicates the settings you have applied to the photo.
9. The Reset button will reset the settings to the original settings and undo changes made to your photo.
10. Click OK to apply the changes.
TIP: Be sure to click OK to apply any changes made to the photo. You’ll lose the settings change if you close the image or switch to a different one without clicking OK.

Elements basics
Photoshop Elements is easy to use. But there are some confusing shortcuts, like:
Layer to Path
You can use one of your layers to quickly convert the selected layer into a path. Click the layer thumbnail (the little colour photo), then press Ctrl+1 (Windows) or Ctrl+U (Mac).
Fill Image Area
If your selection is inside an image, this will fill the whole layer with the same colour
File > Flatten Image
This will create a new layer from your selected layer, remove the original, and concatenate with the new layer
File > Load As Layers
This will convert your images as layers into your file
File > Load as Planes
This will flatten your image into separate layers, which you can edit individually

Ludbrook Castle
Ludbrook Castle is a 17th-century manor house in Ludbrook near Pontnewynydd in the county of Gwynedd, Wales.
The original Tudor mansion house was built by George Rees of Ewenny Priory, Gwynedd in 1562. In 1601 it was purchased by William Evans of Cardiff. The Evans family were to build a large new house on the site of the older mansion, incorporating part of the older building. In the early 17th century, the mansion was sold to Theophilus Lloyd, a merchant from Crickhowell.
The mansion house, also named Ludbrook House, was enlarged in the 18th century. It was a large building designed to impress visitors, containing a saloon, gallery, library, dining room and dining room. It was built in the Palladian style and renovated by Thomas Coke in 1735 for the marriage of his son, Sir Thomas Coke, to Frances Lloyd, daughter of the 4th Baron Lloyd and co-heir to the estate. Ludbrook was the birthplace of Sir John Philipps, 1st Bt. who acquired the estate in 1796.
The original mansion house was demolished in 1727. The new main house was built by Thomas Coke in 1735. It was a two-storey, pedimented house, built on a stone basement. Thomas Coke died in 1754 and Ludbrook was purchased by a partnership between the Philippses, who were his first cousins. In 1766 Ludbrook was purchased by John Thomas, eldest son of Thomas Coke, the 2nd Baron Kensington. Thomas Coke’s grandson, George Coke, inherited Ludbrook from his uncle Thomas Coke in 1801 and then had it split into Ludbrook Park and Ludbrook House. In 1914 Ludbrook was acquired by John Rees, 1st Baron Rees.

I’m just trying to round it up, or even round it down if there is another answer. I’m not looking for a user defined rounding strategy, I’m just trying to get the result to round up.
