Setting up the service is easy as pie.
First thing you have to do is launch Designer from Internet Explorer, let the program launch and simply open the Designer.dwg file.

Designer uses two output formats:
1. Line format: the output of Design Master is in the line style of Design Master. You should be very careful with this type of output, as it can be very distracting.

2. Block format: the output of Design Master is in the 2D block format. This is the format that is compatible with Design Master.
You can select the 2D block format to have a 2D output in the.dwg file that is saved after running the Design Master HVAC module.
All the other.dwg files will have a 3D output.
So what you need to do is to decide which.dwg file type you need for your project.
Now you need to add a component to your drawing.
Go to Components\SubItems tab and click the New button.
Enter a name for the component.
Add the Component Type and Component Style.
Design Master starts the component drafting process.
The first component that is to be created will be the cooling coil.

Can I use it with axure or vice versa?
I’m planing to do an HVAC design program and I have a lot of info design in axure and I need to put it into a design program. Can this be done?

The Design Master HVAC Software is a different program than Axure, but it does allow you to import work from your client’s Axure templates. The software gives you AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT as well as professional drafting functions. It is compatible with 3D modeling programs such as Rhino and there is a free version you can use. Is it possible to draw components (heating/cooling unit, ductwork, etc.) using an existing CAD design and then “import” it to Design Master HVAC? Or is Design Master strictly for AutoCAD? I have a design that someone gave me (not my own), and some of it may be feasible to convert to Design Master.

I wouldn’t go that route, to avoid possible getting held up by another client. Having a client’s original data set can be helpful, if that client ever needed follow-up work. But, you need to know how the information is formatted, as well as how the information is organized. I believe these would be significant questions to ask the original designer.

How do I use this software to create a design for a home and for a commercial building (such as a mall)?

I would recommend that you first get familiar with the software that is already available for use. I have had success with AutoCAD LT and Orca. You can download both programs for free from Autodesk. If you decide that Design Master HVAC would be useful, you can then download the free version. You can do further research and learning via the
