I did not like the solution to the problems, because you had to use a specific calculator to use the corrected equations. Sadiku’s book is actually two separate books. One half discusses the basics of vectors, so they are a good book to read first if you don’t know much about vectors. If you already know vectors, then you may skip to the second half, which deals with solving electromagnetic problems using the corrected equations.

Very good book for solving electrical and related problems. The most recent edition is useful. I would not purchase the paper version because I am on a computer most of the time. Sadiku is a good writer, but he is quite tedious and slow. –David Bedrov

The Seventh Edition of Sadiku’s text, Elements of Electromagnetics, is by far the best text available for the subject. Sadiku’s use of mathematics is excellent and it is impossible to find a single example where one of his solutions doesn’t use all of the available concepts. I have just finished reading a graduate course from the Sixth Edition and it will be worth every cent I paid. The Seventh Edition is completely different from the Sixth Edition and I’ve never encountered anything like it in the 30-years I’ve been teaching the subject. Sadiku is a great teacher and this text is equally as good as his series on circuits! I’ve seen many students reach for this text as they see the Fourth Edition for the first time and Sadiku deserves great credit for the Seventh Edition!
